Pen & Paper Technology
DigitalInk uses a digital pen to capture hand written notes and drawings from paper-based forms.

The forms used by DigitalInk include a series of tiny dots that are almost invisible to the naked eye. These dots tell the pen exactly what the user is writing on each area of the form. DigitalInk will then send a perfect image of the form and the data written onto it as a PDF file directly to the users email account. 

Send captured data via Bluetooth™ or via the Pen Dock
DigitalInk can connect to most Bluetooth™ phones and communicate data back to head office via the users mobile phone network. Alternatively data can be transferred by simply docking the pen into the USB cradle connected to a laptop.

Write, draw or even scan barcodes
The DigitalInk pen is able to capture any form of writing, drawing and even barcode information via it’s in-build barcode reader.

Capture signatures for proof of delivery
DigitalInk can be used to capture signatures on delivery notes (i.e. to obtain a Proof of Delivery). The solution is much more accurate at capturing signatures which can typically be elaborate and difficult to recognise if captured on other devices such as a PDA.

This information can be relayed back to a central sales team instantly thus allowing the entire sales order processing cycle to be completed by despatching an invoice to the client.

Intelligent form distribution
DigitalInk solutions aren’t just about digital pen and paper technology. DigitalInk can be used to drive intelligent business processes sending form data to individuals or groups of people depending upon the form values completed.

The DigitalInk communication module can support the distribution of data based upon a product selection on a form, a value written onto the form or a persons name identified by marking a team name. In fact we can automate just about any process you could imagine in order to make your data land on-time every time.

Update account data within your back-office systems
If a user writes a reference number onto the DigitalInk form the integration features of the solution will automatically update this customer, account or service record on your back-office system.

The real time processing of data is highly intelligent and saves both time and money by eradicating the need to manually re-key form based data pens into systems.
